Indents for quotes
Hello
I have a document (Word 2000) with about 15 pages in it. Occasionally, I need to insert quotations. I am typing the normal text in 10pt Verdana with a margin of 2.5cm all round. My quotes are in Verdana 9pt, which I am quite happy with. However, to get all the quotes (they are on different pages) to 'line up', that is, to have them all equally indented from the left and right, what I have to do is copy the first line of text from a previous quote I have used, then paste it into another page where I want a new quote to begin. I do this to ensure symmetry with the quotes above, to make sure they are all in line. But is there a simply way? Thanks. Steve |

I suggest you create a special style to be used for your quotes. Define the
style with all the attributes you want, incl. the indentation. Then apply that €śQuote€ť style to all your quote paragraphs. If you need help on creating or modifying styles, see: http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/styl...sOnStyles.html http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/styl...ifyAStyle.html -- Regards Lene Fredborg DocTools - Denmark www.thedoctools.com Document automation - add-ins, macros and templates for Microsoft Word "SteveH" wrote: Hello I have a document (Word 2000) with about 15 pages in it. Apply the Block Text style, which you can modify (see
http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/styl...ifyAStyle.html) to suit your needs. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "SteveH" wrote in message ... Hello to you both
Many thanks for replying and for your helpful links. I have visted them - and saved them - so hopefully I will now be able to resolve the issue. Best regards Steve "Stefan Blom" wrote: Apply the Block Text style, which you can modify (see http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/styl...ifyAStyle.html) to suit your needs. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "SteveH" wrote in message ...
