Default Clipboard won't go away

Under options, I de-selected Show Office Clipboard Automaticall, and also
deselected Show Office Clipboard when CTRL-C pressed twice. However, the
clipboard still pops up after I've done a few copy and paste routines. It
bugs me. How turn the thing off permanently? Thanks.

In all probability you do not have the Option set to 'Collect Without Showing
Office Clipboard'. Click the Options button, turn that setting on & you
should be OK.
