Default Format MERGEFIELDs as telephone # and SSN #

I need to format the MERGEFIELD in a mailmerge document to correctly display
telephone #s ((123) 456-7890) and SSN #s (123-45-6789), similar to the date
format i.e. {MERGEFIELD"DATE" \ @ "MMMM, YYYY"}.

Thank You

krbailey226,

Insert Mergefields with the following switches:

1. SSN# {Mergefield SSN \# "000'-'00'-'0000"}

2. Telephone# {Mergefield Phone \# "(000) 000'-'0000"}

Please ignore the "not helpful" reponse. I made an error in copying your
formula. It works correctly now. Thank you very much for your help.
