If you are truly talking about converting a space to a period, use find and
replace. If you are talking about being able to see your non-printing characters, hit the ¶ button. -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] Tech Editor for "Microsoft Publisher 2007 For Dummies" "PT" wrote in message ... Not exactly right. Somewhere in Word 2003, there'a an option to display
(and print) all spaces between words with periods - actually not a period, but a dot, situated vertically midway between the top and bottom of the text characters. It's a simple switch which toggles the spce character on and off and does so without find/replace. -- PT "JoAnn Paules" wrote in message ... You want to display the non-printing characters...
Click on the ShowAll command button the pilcrow which looks like a reversed double P on he standard toolbar or use Ctrl+Shift+8. -- Terry Farrell - MSWord MVP "PT" wrote in message ... There was nothing wrong with JoAnn's answer; it is yours that is "not
exactly right." There is no "option to display (and print) all spaces between words with periods" *anywhere* in Word. The dots are "nonprinting characters," which do not print. See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/NonPrintChars.htm. -- Suzanne S. Barnhill Microsoft MVP (Word) Words into Type Fairhope, Alabama USA "PT" wrote in message ... Not exactly right.
