Default spacing question

I have a document set up with double spacing. The spaces between
paragraphs, however, are double that. How can I make the spaces between
paragraphs the same as between lines of the document?
Thanks

Default spacing question

In the Paragraph dialog, make sure Spacing Before/After is set to 0.

Default spacing question

Click the ¶ button (or CTRL+SHIFT+8) to display the paragraph marks.

Are there paragraph marks at the end of every line?
In this case see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/CleanWebText.htm

Are there no paragraph marks at the end of every line, but two paragraph
marks at the end of every paragraph? In this case use replace (CTRL+H) to
replace ^p^p with ^p.

Default spacing question

It would be best to also apply a first line indent; otherwise, new paragraphs
would be (more or less) invisible in a printout.
