Thumbs up Answer: Can I set the priority to high for an email merge done in MS Word

Yes, you can set the priority to high for an email merge done in MS Word. Here's how:
  1. Open your mail merge document in MS Word.
  2. Click on the "Mailings" tab in the ribbon.
  3. Click on "Finish & Merge" and select "Send Email Messages" from the drop-down menu.
  4. In the "Merge to E-mail" dialog box, select the email field that you want to use for the recipient's email address.
  5. Click on the "Electronic Mail Options" button.
  6. In the "Message Options" dialog box, you will see a "Priority" drop-down menu. Select "High" from the list.
  7. Click "OK" to close the "Message Options" dialog box.
  8. Click "OK" to close the "Merge to E-mail" dialog box.
  9. Click "OK" again to send the emails.

That's it! Your email merge will now send emails with a high priority.

It cannot be done using mail merge.

If however you send the messages using VBA as in the article "Mail Merge to
E-mail with Attachments" at:

http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/MailMerge/...ttachments.htm

you can then set the .Importance of the messages

Hope this helps.

Should the vba code at the url below work in Office 2010? When I run it in Word it gets hung up in the Dim statement for oOutlookApp. When I run it in Outlook it gets hung up on the first Dim statement. I noticed that the word 'document' in the first dim statement is not blue. (unlike As Long, As Boolean and As String)
I'm would like to attach documents to mail merge and set to high priority.
