[Black Hawk]

I'm printing a directory of sorts. I've got spaces for cell phone number,
work number and home number. Each field is preceeded by "Cell: c_data ",
"Home: h_data", "Work: w_data".

Some people don't have all three phone numbers. How do I not list the
introductory text if there is no data in the field?

Use If...then...Else fields. For example for the Cell phone number, use

{ IF { MERGEFIELD c_data } "" "Cell: { MERGEFIELD c_data }" }

You must use Ctrl+F9 to insert each pair of field delimiters { } and you use
Alt+F9 to toggle off their display.
