Gordon typed: Word 2007. What causes this error message? Wow, that's a new one on me! Check Help under Specifications and see if there really is a finite limit to the number of pages that you're hitting. How many pages are in this document? What is its filesize? Most likely document corruption. If Word can't open the document, you might
want to give OpenOffice a shot. It is often better at opening corrupted files. As a last alternative, if it's a docx file, you can rename it to zip, extract it, and see what you can salvage by hand.
