Default Shifting between doc windows

Somehow my word program has retarded to displaying only one documentwindow at
the time.
In order to shift between them I have to use "the old way" - using the menu
Window -- 1, 2, 3 etc etc.
I dont want this. How do I get back to the default setting, where every
document is a standalone window?
