Default Word is saving very slowly

Word has been saving and attaching and opening documents very slowly and
locking up my computer. I have Word 2003 and XP. It started when I re-mapped
my My Documents to a network drive, but I changed that back to default and
it's still doing it. Any advice?

If you have Norton AV, turn off the office plug-in. Any chance that your
user templates are in My Documents or a subfolder of that?
