Default how can I remove multiple acrobat comments toolbars in word?

I have Windows XP Home Edition and Microsoft Office 2000. After installing
Adobe 6 Professional I started getting multiple Acrobat Comments toolbars and
Adobe PDF too, every time I opened a Word document. After un-installing Adobe
and Office and then re-installing Office only I still after multiple
toolbars, 21 lines of them. This is very annoying as it virtually takes up
the whole screen.
Has anyone any ideas of how to sort this out?

This is caused by an add-in (usually the Works add-in) interfering with the
loading of the Acrobat add-in. See

Hi Graham,

Thank you very much for the information. The second one did the trick! We
have had this on the computer for nearly a year and it was so annoying. Thank
god I found out about this site.
Cheers once again.
