Default Openning old version of Word

Using Word 2007 (or trying to) on Windows XP pro.
I tried to oen an old version of Word and got the message to go to 911850.
I did. Then to 922849. Great, a solution.
But my regedit does not follow the 922849. I have

Under Policies/Microsoft I have one entry - System Certifications.

Where do I go from here?

As I said in my original message I did try the suggested solution and found
that my registry did not match the solution.

I looked at the reference page.
1. I tried to explain the error as well as I could.
2. As I stated I did try to follow the referenceed instructions until I ran
out of suggestions
3. I did ask a systems analyst for the FAA and his suggestion was inside of
Word
4. I attempted to title the question as specific as possible
5. I attempted to explain the actions taken and the dead end I reached
6. I apologize for the typos-I should have read the message again after typing
I'll try to do better next time Was there anything else I missed?.
