Default How can I make Word display exactly what I type?

Even after turning off all Autocorrect functions, MS Word is still not
allowing me to format indents and spacings to my specifications. My document
does not require traditional style rules, and in order to make it readable, I
must put non standard formatting in place. Word is not allowing me to do
this.
