my text is being deleted as i type
Have spent the past couple of days working on one of my final university
essay for the year, but as I went back to edit it today, I found that as I type in extra words, the words that come after it in the sentence are being deleted. Not sure what i've done to cause this so any help would be greatly appreciated! Sam |

Press the INSERT key to turn off typeover mode.
Note that the INSERT key acts as a toggle: when overtype mode is off, the INSERT key turns it on, and vice versa. It is very easy to press the INSERT key by mistake. But note that the status bar displays OVR when overtype mode is on. (You can even double-click OVR to turn it off/on.) -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Samantha" wrote in message news Have spent the past couple of days working on one of my final university essay for the year, but as I went back to edit it today, I found that as I type in extra words, the words that come after it in the sentence are being deleted.
