How to save and insert canned copy?
I want to be able to keep canned copy that can be easily inserted into a
document. I used to be able to do it by typing in a key word and pressing F3 to insert the copy. |

You can still do this. It's called AutoText. See

You still can. The feature is called AutoText. If you still have your old
system where you did this, chances are you can copy the AutoText. -----Original Message----- I want to be able to keep canned copy that can be easily inserted into a document. I used to be able to do it by typing in a key word and pressing F3 to insert the copy. . You can try this: 1) Go up to the Tools Menu, then to Options. 2) Click on the Edit tab 3) Make sure that "use Ins Key for Paste" is selected 4) click "OK" Highlight and copy the text that you want to insert from the document you have already saved. Then when you hit the "Insert" key, it will be pasted into the new document. |

Pasting is irrelevant to AutoText, which is inserted using F3.
