Default Table of contents

Windows XP, Word 2003
I have created a TOC in a document, which looks great. But if I print it
out, or go to print preview all the numbers in the TOC are the same, eg all
showing page 3, not sequential.
Can anyone help?

This usually results from opening the document in Reading Layout view. If
you update the TOC (F9), are the numbers correct?

No - we are not opening the document in Reading Layout view. Even tho the
page numbers look okay in the document, when we print it they are incorrect.

Have a look at http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Numbering/PageNumber0.htm for
another possibility (albeit a longshot).
