Default how do I rotate a column in a 3 column Word doc

I hace made up a 3 column leaflet page using Word I need to rotate each
column through 180 degrees. Using the Drawing bar and rotate or flip I find
that "Free Rotate" [and the others] are in pale grey and therefore cannot be
switched on.
Is there an easy solution to this or do I have to go back, start again using
DT publisher templates?

Word can rotate text through 90 or 270 degrees, only. Conceivably, you could
rotate the page (change the orientation) by 90 degrees, then set up TABLE rows
and rotate the text.
