Default Cursor position?

This question has been submitted in the past with no response. Does MS Word
2007 have a feature to show the horizontal position of the cursor in a line
of text. Thanks for any help

Jerry

You can right-click the status bar and choose the "Column" item to
display there. That tells you how many characters from the left margin
you are.

You can click the Page Layout Align button and select View Gridlines
to get a graph-paper-like nonprinting background.

There's nothing like a vertical guideline that moves with the cursor.

Thanks Jay.
The status bar, column display works fine. You would go buggy (smile) if you
looked at the grid lines very long. Appreciate your help
