Default In Word 2003, how do I finalize changes in Track Changes and get .

I am a former user of Word 2000. Version 2003 has made changes in Tracking
Changes. It is not intuitive how to finalize changes and remove the prior
edits. Either that or this function doesn't work. Any suggestions is much
appreciated.
