How do you merge 2 separate tables together in word?

At the most basic, delete the empty paragraph that separates them. If this
doesn't work, make sure that the lower table has no rows defined as heading
rows and that neither of the tables has wrapping set to Around.

Assuming that the number of rows in the two tables are same, do the following;

1. Select all the columns of the second table.
2. On the Edit menu, click Copy
2. Click an insertion point outside the last column of the first table.
3. On the Edit menu, click Paste

Try holding down the ALT key as you use the mouse to drag the column borders
into alignment.
