no fill in shape
Is there a way to change the default of 'no fill' when creating an object in
a document? For example, I will use the drawing tool-bar and insert a circle in the document and currently the default is to have white fill in but I'd like the default to be 'no fill'. We use Office 2002. Thanks for your time. Roberta |

Roberta,
Select the circle object with no fill that you want to use as the default. On the Drawing toolbar, click Draw, and then click Set AutoShape Defaults. The default you set applies only to the active document. Hope this helps. Cheers, Annie "Roberta" wrote: Is there a way to change the default of 'no fill' when creating an object in a document? Thanks for your time. Roberta Yes, you can change it. Insert any autoshape and set it to "no fill". Then right-click the boundary of the shape and select Set AutoShape Defaults. (The default line type and thickness can also be selected this way.) -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org |

Both Annie and Jay have pointed out that setting the AutoShape defaults is
for the current document only. If you want to change this for all newly created documents, you need to make the change in Normal.dot.
