Default Word 2003 Bold line at bottom -how to get rid of it

Hi, my friend types up word games and I am not there when he types
them so do not know what he did. Suddenly there is a bold line at the
bottom of his document. When I right click on it nothing pops up. If I
highlight it, I cannot delete it. what is it? thanks in advance for
any help.

This could be in the Footer of the page, so double click in the Footer area
then delete the line.
Or there is a Footnote, goto View Footnote and see if this takes you to the
line, then View Footnote again to see if it takes you to the bodytext that
has the Footnote indicator, delete.
Also see:

Hope these help
