Default Error Message: Error! Number Cannot Be Represented in Specified Fo

Hi!
In a machine running Word 2003 and Win 2000 I received the following error
message in a word doc.:
"Error! Number Cannot Be Represented in Specified Format"
An old back-up file is OK but the current version is not.
I cannot go back to that back-up file.
The knowledge base article explains the phenomena but does not say how to
fix it.
Please help anybody!
Thanks'
Hector

What kind of field (whole field code with field switches, please) is
showing that error message as a result?

Greetings
Robert
