how do I get phone numbers to format correctly in a mail merge?
The phone numbers in my data source are formatted like (555) 123-4576 but
when I merge into word the numbers come over like 5551234576. How can I get them to merge correctly? |

Typically you have to use a "numeric format switch", e.g. if your field in
Word looks like { MERGEFIELD "phone number" \*mergeformat } (Use Alt-F9 to look) try changing it to { MERGEFIELD "phone number" \#"(000) 000'-'0000" } Peter Jamieson "schroederv" wrote in message ...
