I am running word 2000 over Windows 98

I am able to create and save a word document, but then unable to reopen it
for update

Could somebody help me ?

Hello,

I want first to thank you for your interest.

I got a popup windows saying that Windows Installer can not install the
program associed to this file

(sorry for translation, original is in French "windows installer n'a pas pu
installer le programme associé à ce fichier" )

Should I only reinstall MS Word ?
Am I facing a virus ?

Please Help

A few things to try:

1. See http://www.gmayor.com/what_to_do_when_word_crashes.htm

2. Run detect and repair from the help menu.

3. See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/...peningWord.htm

4. Re-install the printer driver.

What makes you think virus? Virus checking is something that must not be
neglected.

yes a simple detect and repair from the help menu solve my problem

but keep original install disk ready
