Default Bullet Alignment

I would like to change the default bullet alignment for Word. Once I make
the changes in a particular document, how do I get that alignment to remain
as the default for future documents?

Thanks.

Default

Bullets and Numbering formats are very unreliably stored in the Windows
Registry. If you want to make a particular bullet style available for future
documents, you need to associate it with a particular style (such as List
Bullet or a custom style) and save that style to the template that you will
be using (Normal.dot by default).
