Automated Numbering of Cells vs. Mail Merge - problem.
Hello,
There is a mail merge data set in Ms. Word, where each row of a column (labeled as "Task Number") has been filled automatically by the Bulleting option. This was done so that each cell in a particular column gets numbered automatically in a serial order. However, when that data is linked to a document for mail merge, the recipient list shows the Task_Number column as blank. Is there a fix? Thanks! |

Run a macro on the source document that contains the command:
ActiveDocument.ConvertNumbersToText -- Hope this helps. Please reply to the newsgroup unless you wish to avail yourself of my services on a paid consulting basis.
