I am using office 2002. When I insert a header, there is line there already.
And it will show up on my print out. How do I get rid of the line? Speedy
answers will be really appreciated.

Is the header line in all new documents you create? In that case, you need to
remove it from your Normal.dot file. See:

It is probably a border. Go to Format | Borders and Shading and choose None
or select No Border on the Borders flyout palette (Borders button on the
Formatting toolbar). See
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting...tRidOfLine.htm for more.

Suzanne,

I interpreted the line as "a line of text"...
I am sure you are right.

Ah, I didn't even think of that possible interpretation (line of text), and
if the OP couldn't figure out how to remove the line in the document, I
didn't imagine he/she'd have any better luck in Normal.dot!
