Default several documents with headers into on long document

I have several short work procedures that I would like to combine into a
single document. Each work procedure has a header with specific release
information that needs to stay in place. I want to keep these small files
because they are easy to update and disperse.

I am looking for a solution that will give me the most fleaibility and am
open to other options. We do not have so many documents that we can not
change direction, but I do not want to loose the ability to handle each work
procedure individually.

I thank all in advance

The only sure method is to save each document in PDF format then use Adobe
Acrobat to merge the individual PDFs into a single file.

If you are tempted to go down the master document, subdocument route - see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/General/Wh...ocsCorrupt.htm Any solution
based solely upon Word is going to be affected by what is in those document
headers.

If field issues are not going to be a problem, and all are based on the same
template, you could use the boiler.dot add-in
http://www.gmayor.com/downloads.htm to assemble the documents separated by
section breaks, or you could create a document with a collection of
IncludeText fields pointing to the individual files.
