While this may be true for text pasted from Excel, as a general rule Word
will expand *text* to fit the margin width on a landscape page. Tables, however, will not expand unless you set the table width to 100%. If text does not expand, then either the paragraphs have indents or the lines have returns at the end (as when text is pasted from the Web; see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/CleanWebText.htm). -- Suzanne S. Thanks Russ " wrote: Word sees a page of text as "one-column." It is still seeing a column that is sized for a Portrait style page. Go to the Landscape page, Format, Column, and put a larger increment (like 10"), then paste the table in. -----Original Message----- When I change a page within a document to landscaped (using section breaks to separate it from the rest of the document) and then past a table in from Excel, the table is cut off at about the same point that it would be if the page was portrait. But its not portrait? The text on the page seems to have the same problem, its acting as if its on a portrait page when it isnt. If I copy the table to a new document in Landscape it works fine. Can anyone help?! . |
