I'm trying to create a document for work so that I can send it to vendors and
they can fill out the information about their product we will be selling. I would like to be able to lock the "question" part, and leave the "answer" lines blank. I have seen Word documents where the parts you can fill in on a computer are "highlighted" by a grey box. I would like to know how to do that. |

What you are talking about is what Word calls an "online form." Check this
in help. For more about online forms, follow the links at http://addbalance.com/word/wordwebresources.htm#Forms or http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customizat...nTheBlanks.htm especially Dian Chapman's series of articles.
