Final with Markup
I have a document that has decided to always open showing markup (despite
the fact that I have repeatedly set it back to Final on the revision tool bar). Any ideas? |

Final with Markup
There is a setting to "Make hidden markup visible when opening or saving."
There's a reason it's on the Security tab of Tools | Options; it's for your protection. Some users have reported that disabling this option doesn't stop Word from opening in Final Showing Markup view, though. -- Suzanne S. Final with Markup
Boy, you got my hopes up.
I tried clearing that and expected that the next time I opened, I'd be happy - alas, it didn't solve the problem (which seems to be document specific - it is not opening ALL documents in Final w/Markup). |

Final with Markup (possible answer)
Despite having previously opened/changed and saved the display setting on
the Revision toolbar, I never did a Show and uncheck the various settings there. Doing so seems to have done the trick. |
