More likely something to do with either your, or the recipients mail

Your email recipient is not going to be very happy with you. Posting an

Sometimes e-mail, just like normal mail, goes astray. However, as your
recipient is on AOL, it is possible it was blocked. AOL is pretty good at protecting its members but there is a price to pay, and part of that price is occasionally blocking valid e-mail.
