I'm having trouble printing a document with a color gradient
background fill effect. Word does not print backgrounds by default,
so I checked the box to do so. The background prints, but
incorrectly.

The background gradient I'm using is the one that is light in the
center and darker at the left and right margins. Print preview shows
the correct gradient on the left, but the gradient light to dark is
missing on the right. I've printed to .PDF and a couple different
printers. Actual printing comes out with stripes, the gradient is
repeated six times across the document!

How can I print the color background gradient correctly?

What version of WOrd?

Are you using a single color gradient or one of the two color sets?
What are the steps you're using?
