Default Task Pain

I accidentally undocked the task pane from the right side of the window. I
finally got it docked back and re-sized it back to normal.

However, now for some reason, whenever it shows up again, it excessively
large - covering about 2/3 of the screen. I can easily re-size it, but every
time it comes back, it is large again.

Is there a way to force the Task Pane to stay small?
