When I right-click on grammar problems, I cannot select "About This
Sentence." Also there is no "explain" button in the grammar dialog box.

In Word the right click choices for grammar checking aren't
the same as when you use the F7 dialog box
(FAQ on Office Proofing Tools:

but to have the 'about this sentence' feature active you
may need to have the MS Office Assistant (help menu) active
on screen.

What language is the text you are proofing set as(and is the 'Check Grammar'
box checked when you use the F7 dialog?
