Hi! im trying to insert page numbers but it only allows me to write 1,2,3,4
etc... what i really need to write is 'page 1 of 4, page 2 of 4' etc... i have used this once before but now have forgotten!!! oh and i have MS 2003 XP. thank you in advance. |

On the View menu, click Header and Footer. Word places the insertion
point in the header. You can navigate to the footer area if you prefer to have Page X of Y there, instead (one way is via the "Switch between header and footer" button on the Header/Footer toolbar). On the Header/Footer toolbar, click Insert AutoText. Pick the "Page X of Y" option. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Iffat" wrote in message ...
