I recieved an emailed legal size worksheet that was written horizontally and
yet appears vertically on screen. The writting is now sideways on my screen. I am trying to print it using legal sized paper but it appears only on the bottom quarter of the paper (horizontally), as if for letter size, and has been squeezed down to fit that small space. Very small print. Must be a lawyer that sent it. (: How do I correct these problems? Thank you. |

Lawyers have machines that scan documents and create PDFs that can be
emailed. I'd be willing to bet what you're looking at is a PDF graphic. You might try copy/pasting it into a new file, applying text wrapping, and then rotating it. -- Suzanne S. Thank you for your reply. Under which heading do I find ' text wrapping ' and
' rotating' ? Sorry, I'm new at this and couldn't find those particular items. If you would, please explain precisely. Also on this same subject of the emailed worksheet that I received, I have another question. The writing itself on the screen is not only sideways but in huge font, maybe 40, 50, or so. How do I reduce the writing so I can see more than a few words on the monitor screen at a time? Again, thank you for your time and help. "Suzanne S. Start by changing the Zoom so you can see the entire text. Then click
anywhere in it. If you get an I-beam and can edit the text, ignore what follows. But if you see handles at the edge and a four-pointed mouse pointer, then it's a graphic. When you click on it, you should get the Picture toolbar. The Text Wrapping button is the one with a dog icon. Change the wrapping from In Line With Text to Square. You should then get a green Rotate handle, but you don't need to use that because there are buttons on the toolbar that allow you to rotate an object 90 degrees left or right. Try doing that, then changing the paper size and orientation to match. -- Suzanne S.
