Non-breaking space
How do I place a non-breaking space between words? That is, a space that
won't separate across lines. If one word wraps to the next line, both do. In WordPerfect, this is just ctrl-space. How do I do this in Word? Thanks, Colin |

Colin,
Ctrl+shift+space should do it. -- Luc Sanders MVP - PowerPoint "Colin" schreef in bericht ... How do I place a non-breaking space between words? That is, a space that won't separate across lines. Non-breaking space
Thanks very much. That worked. Does Word use a different term for this other
than "non-breaking space?" I couldn't find this anywhere in the help system. Thanks, Colin "Luc" wrote in message ... Non-breaking space
Typography never has been Word's strong suit & Help on the subject reflects
that:-) Have a look in Insert Symbol Special Characters in versions prior to 2007. If using 2007 you'll find them on the Insert Tab of the Ribbon, right end. Click Symbol then select "More Symbols...". HTH |:) Bob Jones [MVP] Office:Mac On 12/9/07 10:39 AM, in article , "Colin" wrote: Thanks very much. That worked.
