Open at 100% zoom
I've noticed that some of my Word 2003 docs always open up at 150% zoom
and in Print Layout. Print Layout is fine, but how do I have it open at 100% zoom? I don't see this setting anywhere. Thanks. |

Thanks. This is a .DOC sent to me as an email attachment. When I open
it and choose Tools | 'Templates and Add-Ins' in order to see the template from which it came, in the edit box is a .DOT on a drive that I don't even have on my computer. I don't have this file anywhere. I presume this pathname is meaningful to the person who created the doc, and the name stays hard-coded embedded with the DOC even when it's emailed to another person. Considering that I don't have access to the .DOT template from which this .DOC came, is there then no way for me to change the Zoom ratio on the .DOC? Thanks much. In article , says... The article to which you referred applies to documents as well as templates.
Open the document, change the Zoom to 100%, press Spacebar, then Backspace, then Save. -- Suzanne S. Open at 100% zoom
Documents open in the setting they were last in. Which means,
attachments show up according to the sender's preferences, not yours (at least on my Mac). You can dig in Tools | Customize. There are some predefined Zoom settings that you can add to a toolbar to quickly reset the Zoom. Look under All Commands for a set that begins with ViewZoom--there is a ViewZoom 100. Or you can use an AutoOpen macro that runs on all documents you open and sets the Zoom. See the AutoMacros section of this page: http://www.gmayor.com/installing_macro.htm Rick Charnes wrote: Thanks.
