Page Break not being applied
I have somehow created a document that is failing to apply some (but not all)
page breaks. When in Normal View, after 5 pages of text displaying normally I have a block of 100 lines of text between visible page breaks. Page length is 50. When in Print View, the 50th line is truncated at character 49 (only halfway across the page) and the remaining text is moved to the next page. When looking at the Line/Character/Position counters, in Normal View, I can move the cursor along a line of text and watch the Page Number and Line Number values change in the middle of the line. So the page break is recognised, but why is it not applied? This is hugely annoying - any ideas what is going on here? I do have header and footers turned on, but I have altered all the settings without success. I have played with margins, widows/orphans and other page values, I have created a new document (with different text) from the same template, and have looked for hidden boxes etc and still I cannot resolve this. Any suggestions gratefully received. Thanks, |

Page Break not being applied
Check the settings on the Line and Page Breaks tab of Format | Paragraph. If
you have "Keep lines together" and "Keep with next" enabled for the relevant paragraphs, this could be causing the problem. -- Suzanne S. Page Break not being applied
Those settings are both disabled. I tried enabling them but this made no
difference. A crude graphical representation of my problem is: This is Page 5 ----------------------------This is a page break displayed as and where I expect--- This is Page 6, which is a block of text. At Col 49 of Line 50 this becomes Page 7, but the block of text continues -----------------------------This is a page break displayed as and where I expect--- This is Page 8 Hope this helps. Thanks for the response. "Suzanne S. Barnhill" wrote: Check the settings on the Line and Page Breaks tab of Format | Paragraph.
