Word XP (freshly reinstalled hoping to address problem described) hangs
(slows, locks up briefly) frequently during use. Keystrokes aren't "saved" so
the momentary delays are very distracting to the touch typists using this
computer. Hourglass appears during the brief hangs in Word. Such delays do
not occur in other programs (such as Internet browser while this is being
typed). Some users detect a slight screen "flicker" at the same time as the
the hourglass appears. Background save and Fast save have been turned on and
off in failed attempts to eliminate the hangs.
