Default Text outline

Is it possible to outline text in one color while the fill color is a
different color? I'm using Word 2000.

Only if you use WordArt. After inserting the text in WordArt, right-click it and
choose Format WordArt. There you can choose separate colors for line (the
outline) and fill.
