My 2003 word does not automatically capitalizes a new sentence after the

Under Insert, AutoCorrect, AutoCorrect tab, check the box for "Capitalize

The original reason for this change (the failure to capitalize was not
always the case) was apparently the request of some large corporates (probably law firms) that did not want automatic capitalization at the beginning of numbered items. Fair enough, but the way this was implemented resulted in failure to capitalize even after numbers in running text, which is unexpected and (most of the time) absurd. I guess MS had more complaints about this than about the previous situation, so they flip-flopped back in Word 2007. -- Suzanne S.
