Can I lock a document so it won't reformat on another computer?
I have a large document that reformats from computer to computer. Is there a
way to lock the file, because this file has a table of contents and is paginated. |

The most reliable method is to convert the Word document to PDF
format using Adobe Acrobat or one of its many shareware/freeware clones, and send the PDF. Native-format Word files can look slightly or radically different from one computer to another for the reasons given in http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/TextReflow.htm and http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/shar...matChange.html . dee wrote: I have a large document that reformats from computer to computer.
