How do you move the whole header horizontally (not just the text)
I cannot move the whole header right. I can align the text inside the header
box, but I need to move the box itself. I know how to adjust the vertical position, I want to adjust the horizontal position of the header box. Can anyone help? Thank you. |

Set the indents (positive or negative) of the paragraphs in the header so
that the text is positioned where you want it to be. -- Hope this helps. Please reply to the newsgroup unless you wish to avail yourself of my services on a paid consulting basis. It's not the text I want to move, it's the entire header box. It's just this one document, but the box itself is aligned more to the left then all my other documents. |

Right. You have to apply indents as needed to move the header. You can't
move the "header box," as its position is determined by the page margins, but you can move the header by applying positive/negative indents. -- Suzanne S. Krystal:
So far as I know, the header box MUST have the same left and right margins as the page. The only "misalignments" I've ever seen arise from Word being confused about pagination, and showing an even header on an odd page etc. This is usually a conflict between break types and starting page number settings. You could try deleting all the section breaks then recreating them. Work in Normal view with all your nonprinting marks showing. Use Find and Replace to delete the section breaks to make sure you get them all. Bear -- Windows XP, Word 2000 |
