Flashing logo at upper left corner of word--how to get rid of it?
This logo annoys me. I've tried to live w/ it, but I can't. Any hints to
get rid of it? TIA. |

Word 2007? This is not a logo but the Office button. You can't 'get rid of

Please I hope you are wrong. Writing is not easy for me, and I need my full

It shouldn't be flasing unless there is a fault condition - perhaps Norton

Hi Dinicti,
The Office button (replacement for the previous version 'File' menu) blinks until the first time it is used, similar to the way Windows Explorer taskbar open application buttons flash to get attention  Once you use the menu button and restart Word it should no longer be flashing. ============ "dinicti" wrote in message ... Flashing logo at upper left corner of word--how to get rid of
If memory serves, it flashes until you've used it. Theory is that it wants
to make sure you know it's there - and once you've used it, it thinks you do know. There's probably a registry setting but I don't know what it is - just feed it, give it what it wants, use it once, and it should stop flashing. -- Enjoy, Tony "Graham Mayor" wrote in message ... If it doesn't stop flashing after you click it let us know -- I (or someone
