I was typing i went to change the font, it said some sort of message like
there was not enough memory or something along those lines ... i pressed ok and then the screen got tiny and i thought that everything would be ok i would go back to my last auto save piece and jsut carry on. that wasnt the case i exited to see if the box on the side would come up with last saved by auto recover but it hasnt. Which means i have lost 16 hours worth of work (i no i should have saved as i went along but didnt). is there anyway to still open up the last auto save which should have been every 10 minutes please someone get back to me! thank you |

Not to kick you when you're down, but it's no wonder it was
overwhelmed if it was trying to remember 16 hours of typing (so you could Undo it all). When I don't remember to Save on my own (and it's set for 1 minute rather than 10 minutes), I do so manually whenever I notice the Autosave doing a save. There is no autosave in Word? There is only save recovery information, which
is somewhat hit and miss and setting autosave recovery information to 1 minute can seriously hamper your productivity. If you want true autosave (which frankly would be very annoying) you need a macro. No idea what you're saying. When Word crashes (which it does rather
less frequently these days), upon reopening it gives me a "recovered" file that's correct up to the last point it Autosaved. On Apr 8, 1:20*am, "Graham Mayor" wrote: There is no autosave in Word? Yes, that is AutoRecovery. That is not the same as an automatic save, which
would protect you not only from catastrophe but also from stupidity. See http://word.mvps.org/faqs/general/AutomaticSave.htm -- Suzanne S. As I said, I do save frequently -- when I notice the (ok) AutoRecover
doing its thing. No need for the "reminder" mentioned at the bottom. As with those who operate without the paragraph marks showing, I don't see how it could be done any other way. No aspersions on you. But the article was written to dispel the illusions of
those who work on a document for 16 hours without saving even once. -- Suzanne S. Barnhill Microsoft MVP (Word) Words into Type Fairhope, Alabama USA "grammatim" wrote in message ... It works rather well for my corrupt Word documents. Its web address is http://www.datanumen.com/awr/ Alan |

Ronen bewa this message from "m..." or "Alan" is spam.
Everyone else: the date in "Alan"'s introductory line is in Chinese characters (which you would only see if you have Chinese installed on your system).
