Default advice on merging several documents

Seeking advice on searching for a particular starting string of a paragraph
and then merging that paragraph from a number of word documents into a
single document.

Starting string of paragraph is constant but the remainder of paragraph in
each document would be different.

Thanks
Sammy

Hi Sammy,

You could use Windows Explorer's Search function to look for all files containing your string. Then you'd only need to open the ones
returned by the search.

For anything more automated, you'd need to use a macro (vba), which could be coded to go through the files, look for the string and,
if it's found, copy & paste the paragraph.

Cheers

Provided the string is not in a table, the basic process is similar to that
