Hello guys:
RTF files sometimes have many "control words" hidden inside the text. Even though no one sees them while opening the doc in Word, when exporting/importing to other programs they can be cumbersome. Is there anyway to get rid of those (selected/all) "control words?" E.g.: \*\pn \pnlvlcont\ilvl0\ls0\pnrnot0\pndec }\aspalpha\aspnum\faauto\adjustright\rin0 \lin360\itap0 \f1\fs20\lang1033\langfe1033\cgrid\langnp1033\lang fenp1033 {\dbch\af23 \hich\af1\dbch\af23\loch\f1 Information Security and }\dbch\af23 \hich\af1\dbch\af23\loch\f1 s ensure completion of information security Risk Assessments on applications and/or systems to identify areas of vulnerability and initiate appropriate m}{itigation measures}{\dbch\af23 \hich\af1\dbch\af23\loch\f1 BTW, a related question, when one uses Track Changes, the tool tip gives the time a change was made. Is there any way to delete that time? Thank you for any insight... P. |

Yes. Save the file as TEXT Only. Then the RFT codes will be removed.

Or, if you don't want to loose all formatting, open the RTF file in =

Terry and Klaus:
Thank you. I'll try Klaus' tip first. It seems less radical. Regards, P. "Klaus Linke" wrote in message ... Or, if you don't want to loose all formatting, open the RTF file in WordPad and save.
